Still trying to master bracketing. The sunset coming down behind Baltimore was perfect, but didn't quite turn out how I envisioned it.  Still beautiful though...

I love this shot for so many reasons..mainly because of the quiet order being maintained.

For the shot...i stayed with the 35mm f/1.8 but played with bouncing light off of the walls.  Painted dark green, I thought it created a nice depth of color with the brown pillows and stained mask

My first attempt at HDR! The bar scene was perfect for this experiment as the light played with the liquor bottles perfectly.

Much respect for "good"graffiti and this wall has been haunting me for 2 and half weeks.  Whoever this artist is needs to be found and commended.

This dude just intrigued me for some reason.  Can't really put my finger on it but Im sure it has something to do with his beard.  He's out on the wharf everyday and I stole this shot while eating to avoid the customary "$20" tourist fee if he caught me.

Just walking through the lobby of the hotel while waiting for my co-workers, I got to stop and actually look around at what's going on around me.  What had been background music for weeks, is actually a husband and wife singing together in the lounge - just as they have been doing everyday for over 10 years to thousands of tourists that frequent the hotel.

Sitting on the balcony of my hotel room in Nassau, I have been looking at this house for the past week and I am just amazed at how different the owners live from us "normal"people.  The front yard is a playground for jet ski's and yachts and there is no lawn to mow in the back yard.  When I saw this couple speeding back to their house from one of the bars on the wharf I could just imagine what they were talking about - "I can't believe I forgot my wallet..."

This week is spring break in The Bahamas and the streets are full of tourists most of whom come in off the cruise ships that park in the wharf for the day.  They come to soak in the sunshine, go shopping, and get drunk in the many bars that line the bay.  Also lining the bay are many vendors looking to make a dollar by selling handicrafts to visitors as they walk past engaged in conversation with their families or fellow spring breakers.  This street artist sparked my attention because he was trying to sell paintings depicting the beauty of the Bahamas the way visitors see it.  What they don't see is the reality he has to live every day behind the sunshine, beaches, and palm trees.
